It would be definitely be scary to have a God that is in a bad mood. Thankfully God never changes. Since He is good, God is always in a good mood.
God is playful and wants us to enjoy life. God wants us to know that the life He has for us is better than anything the world can even attempt to offer.
You try to confess your sins, and He interrupts you to tell you how much He loves you. You can be having a terrible day and still feel God smiling over you.
Thanksgiving prepares you to experience God, for more blessing from God, for the peace of God, for God’s joy, and to hear from God.
Will we choose to believe God is still good toward us when hardships are all around? Thanksgiving in all things opens us up to God’s redemption.
If joy is in the fruit of the Spirit, if the joy of the Lord is our strength, and if God has anointed us with the oil of gladness, then why is joy, happiness, and laughter not characteristics of the church?
Generosity seems to abound. Families and old friends reconnect. Christmas is a season of hope because Jesus has come! God wants to be with you. Grab hold of the hope of Christmas.

God desires us to continue to honor those who have gone before for our benefit. There is promised blessing for you in this honor.
Too many of us are more comfortable with the fear of God than the love of God. We know how to respond to the fear. We don’t know what to do with His love.
The problem with rest is that we have the definition wrong. We think rest is doing nothing. Jesus defined rest as doing only what He saw His Father doing.
