How does Bill Johnson keep himself from disappointment when the people for whom he pursues healing do not get healed? Here are some of his quick remarks.
Jesus suffering grief in the Gospels when He wept and when He questioned God on the cross. Grief is normal. Knowing how to deal with grief is important.
We need to have Jesus interpret our circumstances. Our world may look bad or good, but Jesus alone has the right to interpret them. He leads us into truth.
I enjoyed it because it showed people I know and have had over to my home. Bob and Gloria Bruce have walked with the Lord and have been given a wealth of wisdom and character. I loved that the video showed him eating ice cream, as he says he eats it all the time now. The video also showed many other friends from Reynolda where my wife and I attended while living in Winston Salem.
I received this newsletter in the mail this weekend from John Eldredge’s Ransomed Heart Ministry. I wanted to share it hear because of his comments about not wanting to pray for his friend. I think they are common doubts for believers and common hindrances to prayer. Enjoy.
How can God make something good out of this? Whatever painful circumstance you have endured, take it to Jesus. Allow Him to interpret it for you.
Nightmares are not just for little kids. Should we just forget about them, go back to sleep, or attack them? Stop losing sleep and deal with nightmares.
Why is coming to Jesus so hard? You think you don’t want to come. Those thoughts are not yours. Reject them boldly and move toward God’s truth.
Do we have hope for the hurting? Whether they admit it or not, many people (Christians included) are angry with God because of hurt that’s happened.
Christians give plenty of talk to “dying to yourself.” Many do not understand what it is, why it is hard, or why it is important. We’re afraid to die.
Many Christians will not be martyrs, but all of us are asked to die. Too many Christians are afraid to die and become irrelevant in this world.
