God Wants to Hide You From Evil

But when you go pray, go into your room, close the door, and pray to your Father. [Some versions say who is unseen and some say who is in the secret place.] Then your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you. – (Matthew 6:6)

When You Pray, Pray in Secret

One of the only Scriptures Jesus speaks about prayer, He says do it in secret. So, there is something so powerful about it. We just have to remember that it is one of the only things He said about it. We have to remember that for our own hearts. It’s so important. It’s so important.

Now what is so crazy about this is there is one other verse in the Bible that actually says go into your room and close the door. [I don’t know if there is any more. If you guys find one, please let me know.]

But Isaiah 26:20-21 actually says, go into your rooms and shut the doors.

I Will Hide You From Evil

Go My people enter your rooms and shut the doors behind you. Hide yourselves for a little while. Until His wrath has passed by. See the Lord is coming out of His dwelling to punish the people of the earth for their sins. The earth will disclose the bloodshed on it. The earth will conceal its slain no longer. – (Isaiah 26:20-21)

So that is saying, go into your rooms, in the secret place, because there are things that are about to come that if you’re not in the secret place, you will not be hidden from them.

You will not be hidden from the evil, and I’m not proclaiming that there is evil coming, because, we believe in God, and we believe He’s good. But if there were to be wars and rumors of wars as Jesus said there will be, then we must be found in the secret place.

You Are Actually Hidden

God is saying, go My people into your rooms and shut the doors behind you. Hide yourselves for a little while. Hide yourselves. When you go into the secret place, you are hidden. You are actually hidden.

When you look at Psalm 91, you are hidden from the arrows that fly by night and the pestilence that stalks in the darkness. You are actually hidden from those things in the tabernacle of the Lord. We must go into that secret place.

He is Calling Us to Hide

The number one answer right now, the number one answer to what should we do right now when we see those terrorist attacks around the world. What should we do right now? What should all of us Christians do?

We should go into our rooms and we should shut the door and we should pray. This is what He is calling us to. This is what He is speaking over and over and over to our hearts and we must listen. We must listen in this day. We must listen.

Trisha’s Prayer for You

I pray that God in this time when there are wars and rumors of wars and there are people who are so filled with evil that they would shoot our children in the name of their god, that we would be hidden in the secret place enough that we would not bow down to any other name but your name, Jesus.

That we would be so hidden in Your heart God that in these times we would be so ready that if disaster were to strike, God, we would be ready. That our hearts would be found in You. That they would be so hidden in You, so hidden in Your presence God.

Cause we know we can’t do it without You, God. We cannot say no to evil without You God. We cannot say no to the enemy without Your power and Your grace on our lives, God. We can’t do it without You, God.
